Content Policy

One register during the beta

Default mode (every account): companionship, friendship, adventure, games. Romantic themes may arise; explicit sexual content is not part of the experience.

Intimate mode is not available. It is designed as an adult, opt-in register with its own age assurance, and it stays switched off until that work is complete and reviewed.

Absolute limits — no mode changes these

1. No minors in romantic or sexual contexts, ever. Not as characters, not as personas, not "aged up", not implied. Applies to every mode, every character, every conversation. Zero tolerance.
2. No sexual content presented as non-consensual and endorsed. Fiction can contain darkness; the platform does not produce content that celebrates or instructs sexual violence.
3. No real people as intimate companions without their documented consent (public figures included).
4. No illegal content under applicable law, and no use of companions to facilitate real-world harm.

Character publishing

Public and unlisted characters are held to the default register in their profiles (name, tagline, greeting, persona): a character page must be safe to browse. What an adult in intimate mode does in private conversation is governed by the limits above, not by the character page rules.

Enforcement

Violations may lead to memory/character removal, mode revocation, account termination, and — for category 1 — reporting where the law requires. Enforcement tooling (classifiers, review queues) scales with the platform; its absence today is not permission.

To report a character, a conversation, or a person, email hello@playwithduo.com. Reports about a minor being sexualized are handled first and, where the law requires, passed to the authorities.
